PokerStars.com is proud to present the UKIPT Series; a new tournament series to be held alongside UKIPT Season 4. With a new structure, accessible buy-ins and events taking place throughout the year in London’s The Hippodrome Casino, you don’t want to miss it.

All UKIPT Series buy-ins will be £250 + £25, and the events will feature a 20,000 starting stack, with an identical structure to the UKIPT Main Events (with the exception of the Omaha event). All UKIPT Series events will have a 30 minute clock throughout.

The UKIPT Series will be eligible for UKIPT side event leaderboard points, plus winners of each event will also be invited to the UKIPT Champion of Champions event at the end of Season 4. There they’ll battle it out for a free UKIPT Season 5 passport.

We are entering the 10th month of the year, the nights are growing longer and leaves are falling from the trees. There’s not much going on that makes us want to go outside in October, but there are plenty of opportunities to stay indoors, play poker and win some money across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Major live poker tournaments in the UK and Ireland during October

Those of you who are fans of the Grosvenor 25/25 Series have six events taking place in October. The £220 buy-in events, each with a £25,000 guaranteed prize pool, take place in Coventry, Salford, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Newcastle and Reading. The 25/25 Series’ bigger brother, the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, heads to Luton from Oct. 8. The highlight of the festival is the £1,100 Main Event, which boasts of a £200,000 guarantee. Luton has long been a hotbed for live poker and some of the former winners of GUKPT Luton include Sam Trickett, Neil Channing, Charles Chattha and Jamie O’Connor. PokerStars are also busy in the live arena during October with two major events scheduled. They both take place at the Hippodrome Casino in London, with the first event being the PokerStars Live London Series from Oct. 5 and there is then a PokerStars Megastack event from Oct. 20. The DTD 1000 returns in October and has another £500,000 guaranteed. Tim Chungwon the inaugural DTD 1000 and walked away with £76,500 after a three-handed deal involving runner-up Mark Kelsall and third-place finisher Chun Law.
